Winter Wonderland 2014

"Snowflakes are like kisses, sent down from heaven"

This afternoon, I finished my first "Winter Wonderland" creation for 2014. So hereby... a little story going together with this little "Winter Wonderland" I created...

First I started inside the ball, here I put a little paper with a vintage Christmas picture on it. After this, I used a bit of ribbon and a quote, printed on paper, which I put also in it with just a little bit of glue and closed the ball. Then I put it on the white circle. Oh, and make sure that under this circle, you use some felt pads, other wise your ball will find it's way through your room ;-)

Then I started with the outside. One important thing: you can't open the ball anymore, when it's once at the circle, otherwise you will ruin your creation. For the outside I used some clay to make the "snow", after which I put some flowers at the circle and at the top of the ball...furthermore I also used some ribbons for finishing touch :-)

Mother's Day.....with Love!

"Mothers hold their child's hand for a moment and their heart for a lifetime"

A special day asks for a special present. That's why I decided to design this box for my mum. The basic box was originally made of carton, which made it easy to decorate. By painting the box just quickly, it got a really nice vintage effect (because it's not entirely covering) Afterwards I still decided to paint the decoration on the cover with a kind of gold shimmer colour. This gave it at the same time that luxury look.

Finally I decided to decorate the box with paper, flowers, roses & pearls. The ribbon you see on the edge of the cover is stamped with a light brown stamp. These I can recommend, because they really finish your vintage creation. Next to this, they are easy to use, but take care, because they easily leak colour! The text on the box (With Love) I wrote by myself.

After putting the present in it, this box was ready to give lots of love to my mum and to show how special she is, love you mum!

"City Vintage" Coasters

Mornings always become easier in the company of nice decorations at your breakfast table. So what about some "City Vintage" Coasters?

The basic coasters are made of wood and by using Scrapbook I gave them that City Vintage style. I used basic coasters made of wood and after that, I made a selection of pictures of cities I wanted to use on the coasters (Amsterdam, New York, Paris, London, San Francisco & Rome)

By using nice paper with vintage patterns, little paper roses, stones, a bit of fabric and writing the texts, I finished the coasters and this is the final result....

Clock: 50th Anniversary

Last weekend it was not only Kingsday in the Netherlands, but also the birthday of our own king, my sweet dad! Due to the fact that it would be his 50th birthday I decided to do something special and this is how the final result looked like...

I treated the clock with a green colourspray after which I used a white/gold shimmering paint for the special effect. After this, I decorated the clock with paper flowers & fabric, all in the colours green/white & gold.

Instead of  a clockface in the clock, I made a collage with pictures of my dad through the years. This is also why I decided to decorate an clock....it's all about time!
